Legal Counsel Litigation (m/f/d)

What you will enjoy doing

• You will handle, run and defend claims with a main focus on international arbitration developing and preparing arbitration strategies including with regard to global enforcement and related risk assessments and mitigation
• You will manage external counsel, internal and external (expert) witnesses and other roles, monitor costs and assess potential accruals
• In addition, you will be providing legal advice for commercial and technical departments in an international environment including review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts mainly in connection with international plant projects, e.g. license, engineering, EPC, R&D, cooperation, procurement contracts etc.
• In this role you will also develop and give legal trainings to our colleagues
• Your task includes close cooperation with other departments within Legal&Compliance and other relevant business organizations (finance, tax, R&D, etc.) of Linde Engineering as well as within the global legal organization

What makes you great

• You hold a German first and second state examination or comparable education
• You have gained professional experience of 3-5 years in a law firm or as an inhouse counsel in international litigation/arbitration ideally in connection with international plant/construction projects
• Your legal and analytical skills are strong and you have a proven track record of handling complex disputes
• You assess legal and commercial risks holistically and you can balance risks against business benefits
• Working in an international environment and in cross-functional teams is enjoyable for you
• In addition you have full professional proficiency at least in German and English and you are willing to travel from time to time (domestic/international) and get directly in touch with our customers and other business partners
• You are open (to dive into new legal areas), creative (in finding solid legal solutions) and result-orientated (meaning you get things done rather than perpetuating problems) In short: You are reliable, cooperative, hands-on.
