For our client, we are exclusively looking for a Director Accounting (m/f/d) in Saarland as soon as possible.
Aufgabengebiet
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to management, the CFO and external stakeholders
- Planning and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and local GAAP in compliance with the required standards
- Monitoring and compliance with statutory reporting requirements for all plants worldwide
- Managing and developing the financial accounting team, ensuring the timely completion of financial tasks and reporting
- Provide coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance skills, productivity and employee satisfaction
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, regulators and financial institutions to ensure compliance, resolve issues and strengthen relationships
- Act as company representative in financial matters, meetings and negotiations with external stakeholders as required
Anforderungsprofil
- Academic degree in accounting, finance or a comparable field, ideally supplemented by certification as a CPA or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of proven experience in senior accounting positions, with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and compliance regulations, including GAAP, IFRS guidelines, tax and statutory accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred, especially in the automotive industry or related sectors
- Strong leadership skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in financial management software, ERP systems and the MS Office suite
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
